Enjoying miles of beachfront spaces whilst also being part of the South Downs Area, Worthing is a seaside resort town of outstanding beauty. Boasting a large number of coastal, river and woodland walks right on its doorstep, the area is quickly growing uptake of outdoor sports.
Worthing is a mix of the old and new - once a thriving Victorian resort, it now is transitioning to a trendy place to live with lots of wonderful eateries ranging from amazing street food to high end restaurants.

The market town of Arundel makes for a lovely day out, despite its small size. Home to an imposing gothic cathedral and medieval castle which is the seat of The Dukes of Norfolk, you'll also find plenty of independent shops, bars, restaurants and cafes lining the quaint streets. Nearby Swanbourne Lake is also a local favourite to visit.

Shoreham-by-Sea is where the river Adur meets the sea (perfect for water sports and walks/cycling along the river paths). It is also the location of Brighton City airport where you can have flying lessons and watch the coming and going of single seater planes and private planes and helicopters from the cafe in the art deco terminal building.

Gatwick international airport is also easily reached from anywhere in the region.  

The Worthing and Hove area consists of extensive networks of transport links by rail and bus, including direct rail links to Brighton and London as well as along the south coast, providing easy access to main roads across the region towards London and Gatwick airport.

Education & Amenities

The area caters to families with children of all ages, with plenty of Ofsted 'Outstanding' rated schools and colleges. Lancing College is a co-educational boarding and day school for pupils from across the South East, London and from around the world, with preparatory schools in Hove and Worthing.

Windlesham House School is an independent boarding and day school for boys and girls on the South Downs, in Pulborough, West Sussex. It was founded in 1837 by Charles Robert Malden and was the first boys' preparatory school in the United Kingdom.

Brighton College was recently awarded the prestigious title of 'School of the Decade' by The Sunday Times. It was also named 'Top School in Britain' for STEM subjects by The Week in its recent school awards.

Brighton MET and Northbrook College provides a huge range of educational opportunities for everyone by encompassing college level, degree level, adult education, CIPD, and jobseeker courses, apprenticeships with local businesses, as well as leisure and hobby courses and free online short courses.

Brinsbury College is set in 570 acres of stunning countryside on the edge of the South Downs National Park in Pulborough. It was originally founded as an agricultural education centre for West Sussex, and is currently the base for many land-based courses (in agriculture, construction, animal care, horticulture, forestry, blacksmithing and farriery, amongst many others, and is home to a working farm, animal care centre, forge and stables, as well as large areas of woodland.
